I’ve often discussed my fascination with waterfalls and the positive energy they bring when spending time within the noise, mist and beauty of water flowing over a cliff. The other day I ventured out to another falls which I haven’t visited before and was pleasantly surprised by the size and setting of this waterfall. While it wasn’t a long walk in to the falls, it was a steep hike down to Spoon Creek, but well worth it. I waded through much of the creek to find the right location to capture the falls, and eventually sat down to just watch the falls for a while.
I was visited by an American Dipper who kept his eye on me while I moved about his creek.Dippers are fascinating birds, they can actually walk underwater. They are North America’s only aquatic songbird and get their name by their habit of frequently bobbing its body up and down as it stands on rocks in the stream. They are fun to watch, another reason I enjoy spending time along our streams and waterfalls here in the NW. =efh=
