During an early foggy morning hike in Olympic National Park a few months ago, I came across this old abandoned barn in a meadow. The structure appeared to be soggy from the moisture of the perpetual damp climate of the rainforest, was nearly completely covered with moss, the shingles on the roof were falling off and it was leaning and about to fall over. I searched around the building (did not go inside though) for some evidence of its past, but found none. There were no other buildings nearby and no fences to identify a barnyard. It was just a lonely, cold, isolated and eerie building left to the elements to wear away. =efh=
