Nisqually Wetland – 05 January 2019

posted in: EARTH | 0

The other day I went walking at Nisqually just to get out for some fresh air and a little nature time. The day was cold, foggy, gray, and of course it was raining. Despite the weather, there was an abundance of wildlife; mallards, geese, grebes, northern pintails, green wing teals, American widgeons, shovelers. I counted at least a dozen bald eagles and even a northern harrier was hovering around. This great blue heron stood still waiting for his prey and provided just the image I needed to help capture the mood for the day. =efh=
